Greetings!

I have this issue where my Pixel 3 would still play a notification sound in vibrate and/or do not disturb.
A reboot fixes the issue, but once I reconnect to my bluetooth headphones (WH-1000XM3) which has google assistant (but NOT activated), the issue comes back.

I have tried:
- reboot (temporary fix)
- adjust volume (still plays in vibrate/DND)
- put phone in mute (still plays sound)
- Safe Mode (same thing)
- remove/unpair bluetooth headphones (issue persists)
- factory reset (issue persists)

Also if not in vibrate, the notification sounds plays Twice, one loud volume same as my media volume and the other is quite faint.

If there is anything else I could provide.
Thank you and regards,

Does this issue not come up at all if you dont use the bluetooth headphones?

Greetings Scott.  The notifications do play on Bluetooth headphones connected, but the sound plays on the headphones (not the speakers).  I believe this is the Google assistant feature, though I don't have it activated.

Thanks for the response.

Found a more easier temporary solution:  After my headphones disconnect from phone through Bluetooth, force closing the Google App eliminates the issue until I reconnect to my Google Assistant wireless headphones (Sony WH-1000XM3).

This seems to be a bug in Google App itself.

Pixel 3 XL - this problem went away but has returned with onecif the recent updates. Very annoying to be blasted mid podcast, track, or call.
