Google is not currently tracking any Camera app or Android OS software issues causing camera apps on Pixel phones to be inoperable. There are a number of factors that can lead to problems with camera hardware over time (wear and tear, drops, etc.), and problems with your phone's camera hardware can result in symptoms such as the Camera app crashing.
If you are experiencing issues like this with your Pixel, we recommend the steps outlined in our camera troubleshooting guide. If troubleshooting doesn’t help, we recommend you contact Google customer support to explore your options for a solution. If your phone is out of warranty and your camera hardware is damaged, your phone may need to be repaired. Out-of-warranty devices can be repaired by an authorized repair partner.

If your Pixels are still covered by warranty, I can only suggest you contact Google Support to discuss your options.
If out of warranty, there is a list of authorised repair centres HERE to which you could take/send your 'phone for evaluation.

Hello Roshan, sorry to hear that your camera app is crashing on you. There are a couple of things to try.
Firstly, force close the camera app. To do this, go to Settings, Apps and Notifications, select the camera, Tap Force Stop.
Secondly, install any app updates on the camera app. To do this, go to the Play store, tap the menu icon, My apps and games, if the camera app has an update, select and update this.
Finally, as you have done before, I want to you to clear the cache AND clear the data.
Let me know if this solves the problem.
Regards Wes

Hi User 6131xxxxx. If you feel the problem with your phone is with the software associated with the camera app then all you can do is to troubleshoot the app following the suggestions in the Help Centre HERE. If this doesn't work and neither does a factory reset starting again 'as new,' then you will need to have the phone examined by a professional to determine the cause. There will, of course, be no further system software updates for your phone.
Some people have found that replacing the camera module itself has fixed the issue and some have been able to change to another camera app, such as Open Camera, that has worked for them so is something you might consider if you haven't already done so.
As you will have seen from all the posts in this thread going right back to 2019, there has been no 'fix-all' solution to this problem and I wish you good luck.
Regards, Penny.

My Pixel 2 camera isn't opening, keeps crashing, even in safe mode.
Have tried - phone reboot, app update, factory reset, cleared camera app's cache. Nothing worked.

I have even tried a factory reset, it doesn't work! No camera app seems to work!
