Answering WhatsApp calls

When someone calls using WhatsApp I have to unlock my phone before I can accept the call. Is there a way for receiving a call to bypass the lock screen? (Usually what happens is that by the time I have unlocked the screen the caller has hung up!)

No, there isn't, as only the default phone app seems to be able to bypass the lock screen.
