Dual Sim Dual Active for Pixel 3/XL?

Is there a plan by Google to support Pixel 3/XL devices with the dual sim dual active feature in the near future?
Can this be done with a mere software upgrade?

Welcome to the Google Pixel Community forum.  
 
At this time, DSDA is not supported.  DSDS is supported on the Pixel 3a and 3a XL; the Pixel 4 and 4 XL.  
 
This feature cannot be added to other models via software, e.g., hardware is required.
