Add Temperature to Home Screen
How do I display the current outside temperature on the home screen?
I do NOT want the weather widget, which is far too big. I want just the small temperature display, under the time. The home screen showed the temperature when I first took Pixel out of the box. Now it's gone.
Gemini was no help.
All solutions I've found are either wrong or out of date. Many suggested adding the weather widget, which is NOT what I want. I want just the tiny temperature display.
I have Pixel 9, Android 15.

At a glance is already being displayed, though all it's showing is a date. I'm not even sure how that got there, since I don't see anything about displaying a date in the At a Glance settings.
And I also don't see anything about weather or temperature in the At a Glance settings.
I'm feeling very frustrated. Simple things should BE simple, and tis is turning out not to be.
Normally this workaround works 99 out of 100 for me. One day I had the issue again with the vanishing weather 'at a glance' info and for the first time the trick didn't work.
If that happens, a power cycle of the phone can make it work again: switch off the phone, wait 1 minute, switch it on again, wait 1 minute. Then check again.

I finally got the desired result, but unfortunately don’t know how I got it.
After a couple of hours changing every settng, permission &app I could find, I gave up.
But the next time I picked up the phone, I found the temperature displayed under the date as before.
My guess is that maybe it's the At a Glance widget displaying the data from the Pixel Weather app, once I told At a Glance to use data from other apps (a rather vague description for the setting, IMHO).
At any rate, now I have a new problem, but I'll post that in a different thread.
