How to remove "Until X:XX" battery in the status bar and bring back % ?

After the latest update, when I pull down the notification/settings drawer at the top of the screen, I no longer see a battery % next to the battery icon, it now shows "until X:XX". This is extremely annoying. I wish to see the % when I pull the notif drawer down.

How can I revert this change and show the % as it normally did?

I heard about this change... got the update yesterday... and yes it was there.
Why do they make things more complicated.

I have Pixel 6 Pro... but this should work for you too..

To FIX this...  go to your
"Settings"  go to
"Apps"    click the "See all xx Apps"
find...
"Device Health Service"   Force Stop and Disable.
...you might have press the Power Button,
and then press the Power Button again to wake
the phone back up.

It should show the battery as percent again.

If you completely power off or restart phone
you will probably have to use the steps above again.

Hi hakJav

Best send feedback to the developers about this. You can send feedback either through your device or through the Android Issue Tracker.

Via Device
  • Settings > About phone > Send feedback about this device
Ensure that you include the logs.

Via Android Issue Tracker

Hello hakJav,
Welcome to Google Pixel Community.

That section never showed battery percentage recently it shows the approximate time , how long your battery will last.  It cannot be removed, you need to use a different launcher for that.

Please leave a feedback about this,
Go to settings > Tips and Support > Send a feedback.

You can enable battery percentage toggle from the battery section to keep you showing battery percentage all the time except the notification pannel is dropped down

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Threads like this amaze me.

Google gets complaints that the battery percentage is confusing - what does 65% mean? Why does 65% last longer today than yesterday?

So they add a NEW FEATURE that monitors your current usage and calculates for you how long you can expect the battery to last. Seems like a nice, useful feature to most people.

Why is this such an issue?

If you have an actual concern or can explain why the feature impacts your use of the phone (instead of simply not liking it), you should file a feedback report and explain in detail.

Mine shows it all. I just noticed this laast night. I somehow got to the screen that shows an alarm was set for that same time. So i turned it off and the until X:XX went away. Now is back. It's just anxiety inducing if you're a major procrastinator.

I like to be in control, maybe an outcome of being a s/w dev since the 80's. I dislike devices trying to decide what I want to see. I do usually know best.

Going to try this. I hate this change.

Worked for me too :) It's been annoying me so much since it changed as I have found that the time listed isn't accurate ... I use my phone differently everyday! Seeing the percentage helps me so much more, thanks heaps

It's a neat change actually, used to have it on my Pixel 3a at the time; the percentage is always there except when you pull down the shade... No issue there!

Do you really need to scroll down to know how much battery left on your device? I think you can turn on show batter percentage on status bar Go to settings>battery>show battery percentage,to be honest, how long the battery will last is a great feature that allow us to charge the device at a particular time as it was shown that your battery is about to die in a particular time....I don't know why are you hating? It's my opinion only...have a nice day..

It's a little off putting. If you didn't know about that feature, as I didn't then you might get startled and slight anxiety hoping you didn't forget something. Then there's the thought I have that says if im gaming my battery will drain faster and I tend to push it to the very last second to connect. This just raises too many questions. Why fix or change something that works great for everyone?
Google just trying to be different. There are so many other ways to make themselves stand apart from the rest. This is not a good way to do that.

how to hide untill battery status form quick access
Apr 12, 2023
Mine shows both.
It makes me think i have do not disturb turned on or something. Then I worry if Im missing any important spam calls. It looks like this.. Until x:xx (then the battery symbol) 85%
So what does it mean by "until X:XX" anyway? Is that supposed to tell us when we need to charge the phone?
Last night I turned it off by turning off an alarm I didn't set. Anyone?
