Pixel 6: High battery drain after Android 12 June 2022 update

Am I the only one who have very high battery drain after the June 2022 update? For me, it's catastrophic. Normally I charge my Pixel 6 once a day and I leave it on the table when I sleep without charging it and i still have around 60% the next day. Now I need to charge it two times a day. On my battery usage, Cellular Network now use 52% of the power. I'm on Wifi most of the time.

Hello Patrick Bouchard,
Welcome to Google Pixel Community.

Go to settings>network and Internet>Adpative connectivity and disable it and then observe.

Let me know how it goes.
Thanks.

My Pixel 6 never stays charged for more than 4 hours. The specs state the Pixel 6 can stay charged for up to 48 hours I think. I will try the adaptive setting to try and fix. If that doesn't work, I might need a new battery already?

Before June update, my phone could last around 1.5 days without charging. It's not a battery fault, but a software issue. Last night, my phone completely discharged over night and I restarted it. Since then, my cellular network usage goes from 50% to 22%. I will wait a little to see if it goes better or not before trying to disable adaptative connectivity.

This problem still remains and it is mind-blowing that there is so little actual information on it.

Using mobile data("active", mobile data enabled, WiFi not connected): Mobile Network battery consumed 5-10% over 24 hours

Not using mobile data ("standby", mobile data enabled but WiFi connected): Mobile Network battery consumed 30-50% over 24 hours.

How the heck can the *"standby"* mode for Mobile Network consume five times *more* battery than the "active" mode? This is a clear indication that there is still something seriously wrong with the way adaptive connectivity is handled!

[Tested on recently factory reset device, post June update, with both Adaptive connectivity turned off and on].
