Home Gesture Issue After Android 12 Update!

Question

The home gesture after the Android 12 update on my Pixel 4A is still buggy and spoils the experience of my phone usage daily. This is happening only after the Android 12 update.
On Android 11, the home gesture was rock solid and stable and had no issues.
For example, after the Android 12 update, while watching reels on Instagram or while chatting on Whatsapp for a few minutes, when I use the home gesture, the phone hangs. For at least 2 seconds nothing can be accessed. Then after a few seconds, I can close the app and reopen again. Closing the app (or) going back and reopening the app is the only way to access that app again. 
Also the haptic feedback for the home gesture isn’t sync with the gesture as the gesture by itself doesn’t work properly.
This totally spoils the experience of using the phone after Android 12.
And this issue with the home gesture happens every time. Specifically while using apps like Instagram, Whatsapp etc. The issue is even worse when I use the home gesture while watching Instagram reels or videos inside Whatsapp in full screen.
The very same issue also happens with back gesture at times.
Kindly fix these issues as early as possible.
I have reported this several times but still there is no improvement even after the latest software update.

PS:  I have done factory reset on my phone immediately after updating to Android 12 . I am at present with the latest software update but still no improvement and the issue continues.
Home gesture is the gesture which I swipe from the bottom middle section.
