(actually I think this is relevant to all Pixel models)
I am sure many of us are concerned at the idea of having NFC on/off toggling involving going through multiple menus. I am sure many of us are concerned at the thought of leaving NFC on all the time, open to any NFC exploits. And I am sure many of us really don't want -- when standing at a checkout counter and wishing pay for a purchase with Google Pay -- to have to go through Settings/Connected Devices/Connection Preferences to temporarily switch NFC on.

Google please add a Quick Setting to toggle NFC off and on. I mean, my old LG V20 had one. You can do it.

@thehouseofho thank you. It would be nice if a link were available on this Pixel Phone Help site for offering feedback directly to the Pixel team. I will repost my comments in the issue tracker.

Actually, at that URL the only "component" (a required field) available to select is Android Public Tracker and is for android bugs. Once that component is "PLEASE READ" text is autofilled into the description field and says, "This form is only for reporting bugs found in the Android system while

So that is NOT the correct URL for offering consumer-level feedback for Pixel. This is not an Android bug. It's a missing UI widget that users need on Pixels. Other Android phones have a quick setting for NFC so, again, NOT an Android bug.

Instead I just searched for "feedback to google for pixel" and found this info ... feedback should be submitted from the phone:


Which is a shame because then there is no community discussion, no voting.

Not too sure about this.

From the Help/About Issue Tracker page, para 2:


"Issue Tracker is not a general purpose issue-tracking tool and is not offered as a consumer product for external teams who want to use it for their own issue tracking. You cannot use this tool as a general place to submit feedback on Google products. Please refer to the documentation for individual products for instructions on providing feedback."

(emphasis added)

So...  ummm...  ??   Am I missing something here?

This is an example of just how difficult it is for users to find what they're looking for.  And why we get lost while looking and forget "why" we were looking in the first place.
