Screen timeout not working after Android 12 December update (possibly fixed now)

The display is not turning off by itself after the Android 12 update. This happens maybe half the time and I have set the screen timeout to 15 seconds.

Do note that Screen attention has been off for the whole time.

Yes, it's still there on my pixel 4a 5g, which just got updated with January update, screen is not turning off automatically after 15 seconds according to the set timing, Google please do something about it.

I can confirm that my Pixel 5 is not turning off the screen after January 2022 update. It is not consistent, though. It may be related to the shell or whatever it is called.

Same here... Bug still exists on January 2022 update... Pixel 4a.

I can confirm since a last couple of updates that i did via google play store that problem on my 6 pro is solved. No display freeze since almost 3 days. I think facebook app is the problem. Update your app and check it out. My 6 pro is working like a beast again.

The bug seems to be fixed on my "4a with 5G" (for now). Hopefully it stays fixed.

It's sad that people (me) have to say mean things on public platforms like this, even though we don't mean to :( , thanks but no thanks.

This bug shouldn't have existed at all.

I don't know why other people hasn't got this issue anymore and my pixel still has this bug.

My system is updated to January release and so are the Google apps.

Brand new Pixel 6. Screen timeout does not work? Screen is always on unless you press the power button. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
