Hi Ionut,

It is working fine with mine but some users are reporting this - as reported by Android Police.

Does this mean that the 'phone is now charging slowly? My own Pixel (Sailfish) is still charging as quickly as it ever did but I no longer routinely receive the 'fast charging' message. Occasionally I see the message but more often just that it is charging and that there are x number of minutes left to go.

I now completely ignore all messages and just leave the 'phone alone to do its thing and it's working as expected.

I'm confused.

Hi Penny,

That is interesting. So it charges as fast as before but it is just the notification that is incorrect?

@Ionut & R Landi - do you experience the same as Penny?

I too am having this issue after upgrading to pie. Fast charging doesn't appear to be working. However after restarting my phone last night when it said 20% and was charging, the phone restarted and displayed the battery at 54%. So maybe it's not reading the battery correctly? Or maybe it's an issue with showing the correct %. I have done a bug report but unsure as to who to email it to

Hi JeremyJoe. I'm sure you're not disagreeing with me that I'm having no charging issues with my Pixel? :)  I can assure you I'm not although, of course, many people are having problems and that is why we volunteers are here - to offer help where help is possible. We're also here to engage in discussions such as this one.
