Fingerprint sensor not working after 7.1.2

Hey all,

We have heard a few reports of users having issues with the fingerprint sensor after accepting the 7.1.2 OTA. If this is happening to you, can you post your experience here? I'll be reaching out to a few of you for bug reports.

Thanks!

I'm having the problem. After updating I got the following message in red at the bottom of the screen when trying to unlock my phone with my fingerprint "Fingerprint hardware not available." I tried rebooting and clearing my cache with no change. I thought if I deleted my fingerprints and re-added them it might help. Instead I just get the following error when trying to add a fingerprint: "Enrollment was not completed. Fingerprint enrollment didn't work. Try again or use a different finger."

Last night there was an update to be installed, so I updated, and now all references to fingerprint sensor have gone from phone & apps that used it. I guess that's an acknowledgement of the problem and now we wait ...
