For in-warranty and out-of-warranty damages, Pixel phones have support options. The availability of mail-in and walk-in options depends on your phone's warranty status and your location.

Get ready to start a repair request

Important: You’ll need to factory reset your phone before you get your phone repaired. If you can’t do it, the service center will reset it for you. A factory reset erases all your data from your phone. Eligible Pixel phones can use Repair Mode.

Tip: To avoid a factory reset, for eligible devices, you can turn on Repair Mode. Learn how to use Repair Mode for repair services.

Option 1: Bring your phone to a walk-in center

Step 1: Find the nearest service center

Before you take your phone to a service centre, review the walk-in centre service terms & conditions.

If you don't have a Walk-In Centre in your city, to arrange for the device to be picked up from you, contact us.

Step 2: Back up data

Before you bring your phone in for repair:

  1. Back up your data.
  2. Factory reset your phone.
  3. Remove the SIM card.

A factory reset deletes all data saved on your phone. If you don't wish to factory reset your phone, sign out of your Google Account:

  1. Go to myaccount.google.com.
  2. On the left, tap Security and then Your devices.
  3. On the phone, tap More and then Sign out.

Remember to keep your SIM card. Your service center will reset your phone if:

  • You can't turn on your phone to reset it.
  • Your phone isn't factory reset when you bring it to a service center.

    Tip: To avoid a factory reset, for eligible devices, you can turn on Repair Mode. Learn how to use Repair Mode for repair services.

Step 3: Bring in your phone

During your visit, the service centre will:

  1. Check the warranty status of your phone.
    Tip: Bring your proof of purchase or invoice.
  1. Inspect your phone to confirm the damage reported.
  2. Give you the cost of the service.

If additional damage is found during inspection that increases the service cost, the service center will contact you. They’ll ask you to approve the new cost before the service starts. Partial services aren’t available.

Step 4: Pick up your phone

When your service is completed, the service centre notifies you that the phone is ready for pickup.

Option 2: Send your phone for mail-in repair

Important: Google provides Pixel phone services through our authorized service partner company, F1 Info Solutions and Services Pvt. Ltd. The kind of service available depends on your location by PIN code.

Step 1: Book your service

We identify the service available in your area and book a service ticket for you. To find the service in your area, contact us.

Your PIN code determines if you have mail-in service.

Step 2: Follow your service option steps

After we book a service ticket for you, follow the steps for your service option:

  1. To avoid loss of data, remember to:
    1. Back up your data.
    2. Factory reset your phone.
    3. Remove the SIM card.

    Your service center will reset your phone if:

    • You can't turn on your phone to reset it.
    • Your phone isn't factory reset when you bring it to a service center.

    Tip: To avoid a factory reset, for eligible devices, you can turn on Repair Mode. Learn how to use Repair Mode for repair services.

  1. Pack the phone and copies of the invoice and proof of purchase in the original box. Use bubble wrap or soft cushion packaging to prevent in-transit damages.
  2. Within 48 hours, you'll receive an email from our service centre with the information on the service request ticket number. You're updated once the service centre dispatches the device after service.

Important: You get updates on the status of your service by email. For mail service, the standard turnaround is 8–10 business days.

Step 3: Track your service

After our partner picks up your phone, use your F1 service ticket ID to track your service on the F1 portal.

  1. Next to “Choose your country,” select India.
  2. Follow the instructions under “Option 1: Bring your phone to a walk-in center.”
  1. At the Google Store repair center in a supported country or region, start the repair process.
    • You'll need to sign into your Google Account.
  2. Enter your device's IMEI or serial number and confirm that the IMEI or serial number matches the device that you want repaired.
  3. Next, in Step 1, select the issues and symptoms that apply to your device, review the issue covered, then select "Next."
    Tip: All damages, whether in-warranty or out-of-warranty must be repaired. Make sure to select all damages. You'll be charged for any out-of-warranty repairs.
  4. On "Step 2," review and select your repair option: Walk-In or Mail-In and select "Next."
    Tip: Walk-in service is only available in selected countries.
  5. To complete the next steps, either:
    • Confirm mail-in details.
    • Find the nearest walk-in location.

Check warranty status before you start your repair

  1. Pixel Phones, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Watch: At the Google Store repair center in a supported country or region, start the repair process to check warranty status.
    1. You'll need to sign into your Google Account.
  2. Google Nest and Pixel Buds: Repairs are not available for these devices. To check your device warranty status and options, you can go to Warranty Helper.
    1. Important: The Warranty Helper is currently available in English only.
  3. Fitbit: Repairs are not available for these devices. To check your device warranty status and options, see File a warranty claim for your Fitbit device.

You can choose your preferred repair service. Walk-in service is only available for phones. Before you send your phone in for repairs, back up your data and remove the SIM card. For eligible Pixel phones, you may turn on Repair Mode. Otherwise, factory reset your phone.
