Change how your device connects to printers, accessories & more

You can control how your phone connects to other devices via Bluetooth, NFC, Cast, and more.

Important: Some of these steps work only on Android 9 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.

Change your settings

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap Connected devices And then Connection preferences.
  3. Tap the setting you want to change.

What settings you can change

Bluetooth

You can play music, make phone calls, and more by connecting your phone to another device that also uses Bluetooth. Learn how to connect your phone via Bluetooth.

NFC

You can share information by touching your phone to another device that also uses near field communication (NFC). Learn how to use NFC with Tap & Pay or Android Beam.

Cast

If you have a Chromecast, Nexus Player, or other device that can cast, you can project your device's screen and audio to a TV. Learn how to use Cast.

Printing
