Pick which apps to open by default

Pick when asked
  1. If your phone or tablet asks which app to use, tap the app that you want.
  2. To choose how often you want to use the app for this action, tap Always or Just once.
    • If you choose Always: Your device won't ask which app to use any more.
    • If you choose Just once: Your device uses the app just once.

Tip: To have your device ask again, you can clear the default apps. Learn how to clear defaults.

Pick at any time
  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps and then Default apps.

  3. Tap the app that you no longer want to be the default.
