Lock device when it's automatically unlocked
You can choose to lock your Android phone or tablet while using automatic unlock ("Smart Lock").
Note: Some of these steps work only on Android 5.0 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.
Manually keep device locked while automatic unlock is on
- On your device's lock screen, tap Unlock .
- If you've turned on TalkBack for accessibility, tap Unlock , then double-tap Unlock .
- Your device will stay locked until the next time that you manually unlock it with your PIN, pattern, password, or fingerprint.
