Understand the programme

Google has determined that a limited number of Pixel 9 Pro Fold devices may experience issues that affect the functionality of the device. Google offers an extended warranty programme to provide support coverage for affected Pixel 9 Pro Fold devices for three years after the date of original retail purchase.

Your Pixel 9 Pro Fold device may be eligible for this extended warranty programme if it exhibits issues that affect functionality of the device. If your phone is ineligible for the extended warranty programme, but you are experiencing other issues, your phone may still be covered under Google's limited warranty. Review Google's limited warranty for details.

Important: Cracked displays or cover glass may disqualify your device. Damage like liquid intrusion also affects eligibility. Your phone might not qualify for this programme. If your phone isn't eligible for repair through the extended repair programme or if it has out-of-warranty damage, then there may be a fee to repair your phone.

This programme does not extend Google's liability for other phone issues which may be covered under Google's limited guarantee. 

If your Pixel 9 Pro Fold is impacted, you may be eligible for a replacement at no charge.

Replacements are available starting from 8 December 2025. Depending on your location and eligibility, you may receive a replacement online, an on-site replacement at a Google Store or a walk-in centre may authorise an online replacement. We recommend that you check your support options to see what online and in-store options are available to you.

Check support options

After receiving your phone, the facility will inspect your phone before starting the replacement to verify that it's eligible for this programme. The programme provides replacement at no charge for eligible Pixel 9 Pro Fold devices. Any replacement under this extended warranty programme is warrantied for 90 days subject to local consumer laws.

Tip: Back up your data before sending it in. Open your phone's Settings app. Go to System, then Backup and select Back up now.

You may be asked to provide proof of ownership when you claim a support option. Support options may not be available in all countries, as permitted by law. Certain support options may only be available to individuals who have reached the age of majority in their country or state of residence.

You may be required to confirm that you are 18 years of age or older to redeem these specific options. Support options cannot be changed once your selection has been processed.

This Pixel 9 Pro Fold programme provides rights separate to statutory rights provided to you by consumer law in the country where you purchased the device. Those statutory rights are not restricted by this programme. If available to you, you may alternatively make a claim pursuant to those rights.

Can I take my Pixel 9 Pro Fold device back to the operator or retailer where I bought it?

While your operator or retailer may be able to assist you, they operate under their own policies for returns, exchanges and repairs. For the fastest and most reliable support experience, we advise you to use the official Google repair and support channels. 

If you have an instalment plan or lease your device through an operator, contact your operator prior to getting a replacement for your device.

Can I still get a replacement if I have a managed device (like work or school phone)?

If you are an enterprise customer, please contact your IT administrator for support.

There are no authorised walk-in repair centres near me and I do not have the option to start a replacement on store.google.com/repair. What should I do?

I paid for a repair for my Pixel 9 Pro Fold prior to 8 December 2025. What should I do?

If your device was previously repaired by an authorised repair centre and is still eligible, you'll be notified by email.

Is there an age requirement for the programme?

You must be 18+ to participate in the programme. If you aren't 18+, a parent or guardian must go through the replacement process on your behalf.
