Understand the program
Google has determined that a limited number of Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL devices may experience issues that affect functionality of the device.
Google is offering an extended repair program. This program provides support coverage for affected devices. Coverage lasts for 3 years after the original retail-purchase date.
Your Pixel 9 Pro or 9 Pro XL may qualify for this program. Eligibility requires a vertical line on the display. It must run from bottom to top. Display flicker on Pixel 9 Pro devices also qualifies.
Your phone might not qualify for the extended-repair program. However, similar display or other issues may still be covered. Review Google’s limited warranty for details.
About the repair program
Important: Cracked displays or cover-glass may disqualify your device. Damage like liquid intrusion also affects eligibility. Your phone might not qualify for this program. If your phone isn't eligible for repair through the Extended Repair Program, or if it has been damaged out of warranty damage, then there may be a fee to repair your phone.
Repairs are available starting December 8, 2025. You can use a Google walk-in center or an authorized center. Online repair options are also available.
The repair facility inspects your phone first. This verifies eligibility for the program. The program provides display replacement at no charge.
This applies to eligible Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL devices. Any repair under this extended-repair program is warrantied for 90 days subject to local consumer laws.
This program does not extend Google's liability for other phone issues which may be covered under Google's Limited Guarantee.
Tip: Back up your data before repair. Open your phone's Settings app. Go to System, then Backup, and select Backup now. Next, place your phone in Repair mode. This option is also in the System menu. It prepares your phone for service.
