- You must use a personal Google Account to buy Pixel Pass. You can’t use an account for someone under 13 years old, a Brand Account, or an account you use for work or school.
- You can’t add Pixel Pass to a Pixel phone you already own. If you bought a new Pixel phone and are still within the standard return window, you can return your phone for a refund then purchase Pixel Pass.
- You can’t buy Pixel Pass if you already have an active Google Fi phone subscription.
- A user in a group may have Pixel Pass while others have a Fi phone subscription, as subscriptions are individual to users.
- If you subscribe to Google Fi, you receive a $5 USD discount on your monthly Fi bill.
- You must be eligible for:
If you already have a YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium membership
- If you have a current YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium membership billed through YouTube Billing, your service automatically transfers to your Pixel Pass subscription when it starts. You don't need to cancel your current membership.
- If your current YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium membership is billed through another platform like Apple Billing or Google Play Billing, your service won't automatically transfer. We will send an email after your device ships with more details on your options to manage your YouTube Premium memberships.
- If you're the family manager of a current YouTube Premium paid membership, you need to cancel that membership before you can purchase Pixel Pass. Family members will lose access to the paid membership, but they'll keep their Google Accounts.
- When you subscribe to Pixel Pass, your YouTube Premium service is transferred along with your music library and playlists.
If you already have a Google One or Play Pass account
- If you signed up for Google One or Play Pass through Google, your services will transfer to your Pixel Pass subscription when your device ships.
- If you aren’t the owner of your Fi group plan and have an existing Google One subscription greater than 200 GB, before you subscribe to Pixel Pass, you must downgrade your Google One subscription to 200 GB or less.
- If you signed up for Google One or Play Pass through another company, cancel your existing subscription to avoid paying for that subscription and Pixel Pass at the same time.
- If you’re a member of a Google One family plan, you can’t buy Pixel Pass on Store. You can either:
- Buy through your Google Fi account.
