Flickering with Night Light activated 1 Recommended Answer 4 Replies 10 Upvotes

When Night Light is on and you change web pages in the browser, either the full screen flashes blue as if night light is off before returning to the non-blue hue when the page is loading. Alternatively, just the chrome navigation bar will flash with that blue hue and also go back to normal when the page is loading.

Hi AJ - Not seeing this problem with my pixelbook Try a reboot of the device, if that doesn't help then try a hardware reset

Lmk if that helps and we can go from there.

Power washing will not fix this. This is an open bug (Issue 781483) since 2017 (as I discovered today after receiving my new Pixelbook for 1.5k which is really frustrating) which makes it useless for anything remotely to do with editing pictures, since Photoshop (Android) and Co all use dark backgrounds. It does not occur when enough white is displayed - so choosing a white background will at least solve it for normal tasks as long as there is enough white on the screen. This is a bug only displayed by Pixelbooks - no other (ASUS, Samsung, Lenovo, etc.) Chromebook has this problem.

Just switched from Mac to Chrome to avoid that kind of neglect or even refusal to fix that kind of problems :-(
