Pixelbook keeps randomly restarting

My Pixelbook keeps restarting every 1 ro 10 minutes. Only started this morning. Very frustrating. What steps can I take to fix or diagnose the issue?

Damien,

Instead of signing in to your normal account try signing into the guest account and experiment with it for 15 minutes or more.
If the Pixelbook doesn't restart then the problem might be with a problematic extension, your hardware, or your profile.

You can disable all of your extensions with a chrome reset, see -
If it still restarts after a chrome reset then the next step might be to perform a hardware reset, see -
If it still restarts after a hardware reset then it might be best to back your important data in Downloads and perform a powerwash, see -

If you decide to try these steps then please let us know how it goes.

Hope this helps, ~Denny

Thanks for posting. My Pixelbook2 shuts down randomly at least or twice each day for no fair reason. This is a killer when you are on a call. Its not happening every 1-10 minutes but at least every day.

There is no such thing as a Pixelbook2. Are you talking about a Pixel 2 phone? If so, you are in the wrong support forum.

Thanks for the replies. As it turns out, tried everything but it still continued. When I turn off bluetooth, it stops. Turn bluetooth back on and it resets again every 10 mins or so....

Damien,

Thanx very much for that info.
This issue may, in fact, be related to another known issue involving the sleep mode.
Below is a response from Elizabeth, a Googler on the Chromebook Product Support Team -

So Bluetooth may indeed at least be part of the problem.
Chrome version M65 is in the beta channel on most devices now so it should be rolling out to the stable channel soon.

Hope this helps, ~Denny

Anyone is experiencing this issue when running linux apps?

I installed tex-live and texmaker and my pixelbook keeps restarting when I am editing some files. It doesn't seem to happen when I am using regular chrome or android apps.
