Dispose of your device, battery, and accessories promptly and in accordance with local regulations. Do not dispose of them in normal household waste. Improper disposal may lead to fire, explosion, and/or other hazards. For more information on recycling your device see the Recycling section below.

Radio Frequency Interference

Observe rules that prohibit the use of wireless technology (e.g., cellular or WiFi). Your device is designed to comply with regulations governing radio frequency emissions but use of wireless devices can negatively affect other electronic equipment. For example, while flying in an aircraft or immediately before boarding, use your wireless device only according to instructions provided by the airline. Use of a wireless device in an aircraft may disrupt wireless networks, present a hazard to aircraft operation, or be illegal. You may be able to use your device in airplane mode.

Exposure to Radio Frequency Energy

Your device uses radio signals to connect to networks. Find more details on minimizing radio frequency exposure.

Medical Device Interference

Your device uses radios and other components that emit electromagnetic fields, and also contains magnets. These electromagnetic fields and magnets may interfere with pacemakers and other implanted medical devices. If you have questions about using your Google device with or near your pacemaker or other implanted medical device, consult your healthcare provider before using Pixelbook Go. If you suspect your device is interfering with your pacemaker or other implanted medical devices, turn off your Google device and consult your physician for information specific to your medical device.

Explosive Atmospheres

Do not charge, use, store, or transport your Pixelbook Go where flammables or explosives are stored (in gas stations, fuel depots, or chemical plants, for example). Do not use your wireless device where blasting operations are in progress, or in potentially explosive atmospheres such as in areas where the air contains high levels of flammable chemicals, vapors, or particles (such as grain, dust, or metal powders). Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury or even death. Observe all notices and signs where these hazards might be present.

Emergency Communications

This device operates using radio signals and may not establish or maintain a connection in all conditions. Wireless devices may not be reliable for emergency communications. While some jurisdictions transmit emergency information over wireless networks, your device may not always receive these communications depending upon network connectivity.

Ergonomics and Comfort

To optimize comfort based on principles of ergonomics, notebook computers are suited for short-time use, unless used with an external keyboard. An external display may also be required to attain working conditions comparable to a workstation.

Proper Handling and Usage

Follow these guidelines when using, storing, cleaning or disposing of your Pixelbook Go:

Operating Temperature

Your Pixelbook Go is designed to work best in ambient temperatures between 50° to 95°F (10° and 35°C), but can operate without charging the battery between 32° to 49°F (0° and 9.5°C). Your Pixelbook Go should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4° and 113°F (-20° and 45°C). Do not expose your Pixelbook Go to temperatures above 113°F (45°C) as this may damage the product, overheat the battery, or pose a risk of fire. Keep your device away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. If the interior temperature of the device exceeds normal operating temperatures, you may experience the following behaviors while the device tries to regulate its temperature: reduced performance and connectivity, inability to charge, or display or device power down. You may not be able to use the device while it regulates its temperature. Move the device to a cooler (or warmer) location and wait a few minutes before attempting to use it again.

Use of your Pixelbook Go in certain modes, such as gaming, or watching videos, can cause your Pixelbook Go to generate more heat that it would under normal operating conditions. This may cause your Pixelbook Go to operate in a reduced-power mode or temporarily shut down.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the device and adapter before cleaning, during lightning storms, or when unused for extended periods of time. Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth to clean the device and accessories.
Do not use any chemical detergent, powder, or other chemical agents (such as alcohol or benzene) to clean the Pixelbook Go or accessories. Don’t clean your device while it is charging.

Pixelbook Go has painted surfaces which may chip or scratch if the device is dropped or rubbed against sharp edges or hard surfaces. See g.co/pixelbook/care for more details.

Connectors and Ports

When disconnecting the power adapter from a power outlet, pull on the adapter, never on the cable. Do not twist or pinch the USB cable and do not force a connector into a port.

Magnetic Fields

Avoid placing any media containing magnets or sensitive to magnetism, such as credit cards, bank cards, audio/video, tapes, or magnetic memory devices, near this product or its charging cable, because you may lose information stored on those media. Media containing information sensitive to magnets should be kept at least 2 inches (5 cm) away from this Pixelbook Go.

Power Supply

Install your power supply near a wall socket that is easily accessible.

Regulatory Information

Regulatory information, certification, and compliance marks specific to Pixelbook Go can be found on your device under Settings > About Chrome OS and on the side of your device.

Human Exposure to Radio Frequency (RF)

Your wireless device emits RF energy during use. According to the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), the critical effect of RF exposure relevant to human health and safety is heating of exposed tissue.

According to the FCC, “Some health and safety interest groups have interpreted certain reports to suggest that wireless device use may be linked to cancer and other illnesses, posing potentially greater risks for children than adults. While these assertions have gained increased public attention, currently no scientific evidence establishes a causal link between wireless device use and cancer or other illnesses.”

However, above a certain level (referred to as the threshold) depending on the duration of exposure, RF exposure and the accompanying temperature rise can provoke serious health effects, such as heatstroke and tissue damage (burns). To avoid hazards to health deriving from high RF exposure, limits are set in relation to the threshold known to show adverse effects, with an additional reduction factor to take care of scientific uncertainties. These limits are generally expressed in terms of the SAR. SAR is a measure of the rate of absorption of RF energy in the body. Tests for SAR are conducted with the Pixelbook Go transmitting at its highest power level in all tested frequency bands. SAR were first established in 1996 by the FCC in the USA and they were then adopted elsewhere.

You can find additional information about SAR at the following pages:

fcc.gov
icnirp.org
ec.europa.eu

Pixelbook Go was tested and certified to not exceed SAR in the U.S., Canada, European Union, and Australia.
