In addition to web apps like Twitter and Pinterest, you can also download and install free and paid Android apps, games, and digital content from the Google Play Store.

Note: If you're using your device through work or school, you might need to ask your organization's admin to to enable Android app downloading for your group. If you're using a personal device (not issued by your organization), you can also just sign in through your personal account, rather than your work or school account. Just note that Android apps are linked to the account you used to install them, so you may have separate apps in your personal and work accounts.

Find and download Android apps or digital content
- In laptop mode, open the Google Play Store
located in the bottom shelf of your screen.
In tablet mode, open the Google Play Storefrom your home screen.
- Search or browse for content.
- Select an item.
- Select Install (for free items) or the item's price.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transaction and get the content.
For paid items, you can choose your payment method with the Down arrow . If it's your first time making a purchase, your payment method will be added to your Google Account.
If you have an Android phone or another Chrome OS device, view apps you’ve previously downloaded:
- Open Google Play Store.
- Select
in the upper left corner.
- Select My Apps & games.
- Select Library.
- Choose the apps you want to download by selecting Install.
