Find info and get things done on your Pixelbook with the help of the Google Assistant.* Using voice or text, you can ask it questions, tell it to do things, and search what’s on your screen. The Google Pixelbook Pen**also works with the Google Assistant. Just press the pen’s Google Assistant button while circling an item on your screen and the Google Assistant will tell you more about it and share convenient links to suggested next steps.
Note: If you’re using a Pixelbook through work or school, you might need to ask your organization’s admin to turn on Web & App activity for your group in order to use the Google Assistant. If your Pixelbook is a personal device (not issued by your organization), you can also just sign in to your Pixelbook through your personal account, rather than your work or school account.

Can Chrome OS work offline?

- View and RSVP to events with Google Calendar - When you’re back online, the event organizer will see your response.

Do I need to store files online (or "in the cloud")?
Pixelbook comes with at least a 128 GB solid state hard drive. You can store your files on your device or in the cloud with Google Drive. Google Drive automatically backs up your most recent Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides files so you can access and edit them offline. You can even create new files offline that will be synced next time you’re back online.*

Can I use Pixelbook with an account managed by my work or school?
- To allow for downloading of Android apps from the Google Play Store, enable Android apps on Chrome OS for your domain.
- To enable the Google Assistant, turn on Web & App Activity. After your admin turns on this setting, it can take a few hours for the setting change to apply. Learn more about Web & App Activity.
