Google+ has deleted my blog images

I signed onto Google+. It offered to import photos from Picasa. I said yes, not knowing I had anything on there. It imported a bunch of screenshots, which are images hosted on my blogger blog. This makes no sense being on my Google+ page, so I deleted the album within Google+. However, it looks like it has also wiped the album from Picasa. All my images from 5 years of blogging deleted without so much as an "are you sure"? Is there a way I can get them back?

Get them back ...sorry not as far as I can tell ....if you still have these images on your computer then you might be able to upload them back into your blogs ...of course this will also add them back into your picasa web albums

I will add....I'm a little surprised ...normally it's not possible to just delete a picasa 'blog' web album without deleting the contents of that web album first (then delete the empty web album)

Aargh, this is very frustrating. Can't believe Google+ could actually do this - thought I was just removing these albums from my public profile. Many of the images never existed as files on my PC since I added them as screenshots using Windows Live Writer. I didn't even know that Picasa was where they were stored. I had never been to the Picasa site before today.

It deleted mine, as well.  It has ruined a 7 year old blog that was heavily dependent on photos.  It'll take me months to rebuild it, if I even choose to do so.

What an unbelievable blunder on Google's part to make that a DELETE function in G+ from a completely separate product, Picassa.  Really dumb.  I only hope someone at Picassa can help me recover the photos and put hem back as they were.

I only hope and pray that it can be restored!!!! PLEASE!  6 years of blogging ruined if not!
