does picasa store the photos or are the stored on my hard drive,i have a new computor and would like to resore my photos

i have a new computer , windows 7 how can i transfer my libaray to the new system

The photos are stored on your hard drive in folders - they are not "in" Picasa, so to speak.

I think that the best way to transfer the library to the new system would be to get an external USB drive and backup Picasa to it, using Picasa's backup tool on the old PC.  (I would also make a copy of all the folders that contain photos via Win Explorer to the drive, but that's because I am a bit paranoid about losing data). Then install Picasa on the new PC and restore the Picasa library using the Picasa tools - this should preserve all your names, tags, edits, etc.  Make sure that the backup and restore are done using the same version of Picasa, just to be safe.

Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
