Terms of Service, your account, & reporting photos
Before using Picasa Web Albums, review our Terms of Service and Program Policies. By using Picasa Web Albums, you agree to Google's policies.
Google reserves the right to:
- Remove individual photos, albums, or accounts hosted in Picasa Web Albums.
- Suspend a Google Account user from accessing a product or the entire Google Accounts system, if the Terms of Service or product-specific policies are violated.
- Terminate an account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.
Sharing and editing may also be disabled on violating photos.
Users will not be refunded for previously purchased Google Account storage if they have content removed for violations.
Privacy concernsPicasa doesn't monitor the content of photos that you send to merchants for printing, but it may record the size and success of your upload to monitor and improve service.
It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. To ensure the quickest handling and processing of your request, please file a notice of infringement with us through our online form.
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Don't make false claims!
The administrator of an affected site or the provider of affected content may make a counter notification pursuant to sections 512(g)(2) and (3) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you'd like to make a counter notification, please also complete this form and choose the "I would like to file a counter notice to reinstate content that was removed due to an alleged copyright violation" option.
If you see a photo or album that violates our Program Policies or Terms of Service, click Report Abuse on the right. After we receive your report, we may review the offending content and take action.
You can block users to:
- Remove them from your followers list.
- Block them from following you and leaving comments in the future.
- Block them in Google+.
On your list of followers or next to comments on photos, click Block User.
Your access to Picasa Web Albums has been suspended due to violation(s) of our Program Policies or Terms of Service.
If a Google Account for Picasa Web Albums has been rightfully removed following a violation of our Program Policies, it will not be reinstated.
