Public gallery URL

Your Picasa Web Albums URL is the web address at which your photos are located. It includes a unique username or a string of numbers (your Google profile ID) that identifies your account -- http://picasaweb.google.com/123456789. When people visit this address, they'll see your public albums plus any albums that you've explicitly shared with them.

If you've joined Google+

When you join Google+, your URL is changed to include your Google profile ID. At this time, you can't change this URL. If a different URL was active when you joined - i.e. http://picasaweb.google.com/GrapeApe - it will be forwarded to the new address.

To find your address, sign in to Picasa Web Albums, click the My Photos tab, and then click Public Gallery above your albums.

If you've added a Google profile to Picasa Web Albums (but haven't joined Google+)

The URL for both Picasa Web Albums and your Google profile will share the same unique username. For example, if your Picasa Web Albums URL is http://picasaweb.google.com/123456789, the URL for your Google profile will be http://profiles.google.com/123456789. Here's how to change it:

  1. Visit your Google profile.
  2. Click Edit profile.
  3. On the About tab, change your Profile URL. Your options depend on whether or not your Google Account uses an @gmail.com address.

Choose between your gmail username (username@gmail.com) and your Google profile ID number. If you've previously created a persona (feature has been discontinued), choose between your Google profile ID number and your persona.
