Unable to burn CD

There are several reasons why you may be experiencing problems burning to a CD or DVD from Picasa. Please use the troubleshooter below to resolve your issue.

Step 1: Check to see whether your CD or DVD is corrupt

  1. Insert the CD or DVD into your drive.
  2. Double-click the 'My Computer' icon on your desktop.
  3. Right-click the CD or DVD drive.
  4. Select Open.

If you receive an error message, this means that the CD or DVD is damaged. If you are able to open the disk and browse its contents, then the disk is fine.

Step 2: Uninstall existing CD burning software

Problems using the Picasa CD burning feature are commonly caused by the presence of other third-party CD burning software. Temporarily uninstall any existing CD burning software, and then try again to burn a CD or DVD using Picasa.

Step 3: Uninstall and reinstall Picasa

Picasa's CD driver may temporarily be failing to integrate with Windows. Please uninstall and reinstall Picasa, and restart your computer again. This gives the driver an opportunity to re-integrate with your system. Now try burning a CD or DVD with Picasa.
