Trimming a video clip

When viewing a completed movie in Picasa, you can use the trim begin Start and trim end End buttons to create a shorter clip within your movie:

  1. In your Picasa Library, double-click the video you'd like to trim.
  2. As you're viewing your movie, click the trim begin Start button at the lower-right of the editing screen when you'd like your clip to begin.
  3. Click the trim end End button when you'd like your clip to end. Picasa will automatically preview your clip.
If you'd like to change the set start and end points, simply use the Undo and Redo buttons on the left side of the screen.

  4. Once you're happy with your clip, you can export a copy of the clip by clicking the Export clip button. This clip will be exported to a folder entitled 'Exported Videos' under the 'Projects' section of the Folder List. If you're ready to share your clip immediately, you can use the Upload to YouTube button.

After you've finished creating and exporting your movie clips, you can remove the set start and end points from the original movie by clicking the Reset Start and End button on the left side of the page.

When viewing your video, you can take a snapshot of any individual frame by using the Take Snapshot button in the upper-left corner of the screen.
