Hi Everyone,
We’re launching a redesigned Google Photos starting today! It’s easier than ever to find your favorite memories with streamlined navigation, and we’ve unveiled some exciting new features to check out.
What changed?
- On the app, you’ll notice new tabs for Photos, Search and Library.
- Access your shared content by tapping on the “conversation” icon at the top, left.
- You may notice the 3-bar Menu has disappeared. To access Settings, click your account profile photo or initial at the top, right then select Photos settings.
- To access your Archive, Trash, and the Print Store on the app, tap Library at the bottom.
- We streamlined tabs on the Photos app, and removed For You as part of this redesign. For You remains on photos.google.com.
- You can view creations made for you in your Memories carousel on the Photos tab, and suggestions cards can be found in Library > Utilities.
What’s new?
- A map view! Reminisce on where you were with a new Photos map view. To view the map on the Photos app, tap the Search tab at the bottom and explore the map under Places. Learn more about this feature.
- Our icon gets a refresh

If you don’t see these changes yet, you should soon! Read more about the redesign. We hope you like the new look and layout. Let us know what you think!
Thanks,
Kate and the Google Photos team
