Manage your creation, suggestion and rediscover cards

You may get album or archive suggestions, creations and more in the 'For you' section of the Google Photos app.

With the 'For you' section of Google Photos, you can:

  • Find effects that were created for you from your photos and videos.
  • Be reminded of photos from a year or 2 ago.
  • Find suggestions or add photos to an album or archive.
  • Free up space on your device if you have a phone or tablet.

You may get suggestion cards in the Utilities and For you sections of Google Photos. 

Check your creations

In the 'For you' section of Google Photos, you can:

  • Find effects that were created for you from your photos and videos.
  • Be reminded of photos from previous years.
  1. On your computer, open photos.google.com.
  2. On the left, click For you Assistant.
  3. Look for cards that say things such as 'New movie' or 'New stylised photo'.
  4. You can save or share things that are created for you. Find the creations that you've saved.

To view old creations that you haven’t saved, at the bottom, click View unsaved creations

If you don't have any of these, then you have none to view.

View your suggestions

In the 'Utilities' section of Google Photos, you can:

  • Find suggestions or add photos to an album or archive.
  • Free up space on your device if you have a phone or tablet.
  1. On your computer, open photos.google.com.
  2. On the left, tap Utilities .
  3. You may have suggestions to move photos to Archive, move to an Album or to rotate photos.

If you don't have any of these, then you have no suggestions to view.

Remove a card

To remove a card, click 'x' to dismiss it Remove.

Turn off cards

To turn off suggestions:

  1. On your computer, open photos.google.com/settings.
  2. Click Suggestions.
  3. Turn off the suggestion type that you don't want.
