You can make and edit collages with photos in your library on the Google Photos app or on the web. To edit your collages on your mobile device, use the Google Photos app. Some features aren't available on the web.
Step 1: Start your collage
There are multiple ways to start a collage.
- Through photos:
- On your Android device, open the Google Photos app

- Select up to 6 photos.
- At the bottom, tap Create

- Scroll to the "Collages" section.
- Select a template.

- To start your creation, you can either:
- Tap an empty slot in the collage to select the photos you want to use.
- At the bottom, select a different template.
- On your Android device, open the Google Photos app
- Through the navigation bar:

- At the top right, tap Create

Step 2: Choose a design template & layout
This step details how to select your design and set the photo count for your collage.
- At the bottom of the editor, tap Templates
.
- Customize your template by exploring the different collage themes and styles.
- You can change the number of photos in your collage by switching between different photo-count layouts directly within the editor.
- You can filter for templates with a specific number of photos.
- To filter for templates with a specific number of photos, at the bottom, tap Add
or Remove

Step 3: Customize & edit your collage
This step details how to adjust the individual photos within the chosen grid-based templates.
Adjust borders
- At the bottom, tap Borders
.
- Tap a feature you want to change.
- Width
: To adjust the border width, at the bottom, use the slider.
- Radius
: To adjust the corner roundness, at the bottom, use the slider.
- Color
: To change the border color, in the “Color set,” tap a color.
- Width

Edit photos
- To add a photo, tap Add
.
- Select a photo you want to include in the collage.
- Edit your photos.
- To replace a photo:
- Tap the photo you want to replace

- Select a new photo.
- Tap Done.

- To edit a photo:
- Tap the photo you want to edit

- You can either apply the edits suggested by Google Photos, or edit the photo in more detail by tapping through the tools and making changes.
- Tap the photo you want to edit
- To rotate a photo:
- Touch and hold the photo.
- Turn until the photo reaches the position you want it in.
- To zoom in or out of a photo frame:
- To zoom out: Pinch close.
- To zoom in: Pinch open.
- To change the order of the photos:
- Touch and hold the photo.
- Drag the photo to the slot or position where you want it.
- To replace a photo:
Tips:
- Your device must have at least 3 GB RAM and Android 8.0 and up.
- This feature currently doesn't allow you to move photo slots, layer photos, or drag borders within the grid-based templates.
Step 4: Review, save & share your collage
Once you've chosen a collage layout and finished your edits, you can either save the collage to your library or share it directly with others.
- To save your collage: Tap Save.
- To share your collage: Tap Share

Step 5: Find your collages
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app
.
- At the bottom, tap Search.
- Tap the search bar.
- Enter "Collages."
- Tap Collages.
