Incorrect solutions and solving steps

Wrong solution

Photomath is using cutting edge AI-powered solving and recognition capabilities, that is why most of our solutions are to the point, and the issue might be in the incorrectly scanned problem. If the result is wrong, first check that the math problem you scanned is the same as the one recognized by Photomath. If it is not the same, tap the Edit button (looks like a pen next to the solution) and edit it via Math keyboard. If you are using a math calculator, make sure you have correctly entered the problem via the keyboard.

If you are absolutely sure that the result is incorrect, drop us an email at photomath-help@google.com with a picture of a problem and a screenshot of the solution. Please explain what exact step you think is wrong.

Missing step

An entire team of highly skilled mathematicians is working on designing the logic for our math solutions, but mistakes may happen sometimes.

If you have found a missing step, please use the feedback form at the end of the solution: "Was this solution helpful?" - answer NO, "Sorry to hear that. Care to explain?" - answer YES, tap ADD IMAGE & attach the screenshot of the math problem with the incomplete steps.

Missing method

Our team of mathematicians is working hard on covering all possible methods of solving problems. But sometimes there are so many of them, that we keep only the most commonly used ones in the school curriculum. Also certain solving methods cannot be covered by modern day solving engines and require more advanced AI capabilities that have not been developed yet. If you have learned a different method and deem it relevant, drop us an email at photomath-help@google.com with a picture of the Math problem and its solving steps.
