Add, edit, or remove business payment methods

A business can add payment methods like credit cards, debit cards, or bank accounts to:

  • Pay for Google products and services.
  • Get paid for products or services you sell through Google. Learn about how to get merchant payouts for sales you make through Google.

If you’re an admin or full-access payments profile user, you can find, add, edit, and remove payment methods.

Find your payment methods

To find your verified payment methods in your payments profile, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your payment profile
  2. Click Payment methods.

Add payment methods

We add your first payment method to your payments profile when you buy something from Google or sign up for a paid Google service.

Then you can add more credit cards, debit cards, bank accounts, and other payment methods if you’re an admin or full-access user of the payments profile.

To add a payment method, follow these steps:

  1. Check to make sure the card or bank account you want to add is on the list of accepted payment methods.
  2. Sign in to the payments profile.
  3. Click Payment methods.
  4. Choose Add payment method.
  5. Enter payment method details and follow any instructions.
    • If you’re adding a card: You may find a small "pending" charge on your bank account. This helps us verify your card. It will disappear later and won’t affect your account balance.
    • If you’re adding a bank account in the United States: You might be asked to verify your account through instant verification, where you securely share your banking credentials with Google for 24 hours. If you have trouble using instant verification, try the test deposit.
  6. Choose Save.

Edit payment methods

  1. Sign in to payment profile.
  2. Click Payment methods.
  3. Next to the payment method you want to update, click Edit.

Remove payment methods

If you want to remove a payment method from a payment profile, keep these things in mind:

  • If only one payment method exists for a subscription, then a user must add a new payment method before removing the existing payment method. Follow these steps on how to add a new payment method to the subscription.
  • You can’t remove Google Play and Google Pay balances from a payment method. You can either spend the money in your balance or transfer your Google Pay balance to your bank account.

To remove a payment method, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the payment profile.
  2. Click Payment methods.
  3. Find the payment method you want to remove, then click Remove.
