To pass identity verification, you must set your account type correctly. You can set a payment profile as an individual or organization.
What you need
- If your account type is “individual”: You must provide an ID document that matches the name you submit for verification.
- An individual includes most solo business owners, like freelancers or consultants who aren’t registered as an organization.
- If your account type is “organization”: You must submit a document with the organization’s name. The name you submit for verification must be the same name as on the document you provide. You must have payments admin account access to complete this.
- An organization includes most businesses, nonprofits, and corporations. For example, the document you submit for verification must show that the organization is registered.
