Submit verification documents to reopen your account

 

Your Google Payments account has been temporarily closed for your protection.

 

We closed your account after we noticed potentially suspicious activity, such as unusual transactions or access from a new location.

Reopen your account

We need make sure that you’re the authorized owner of the payment method you’ve provided to Google, so we’ll need scanned copies or digital images of:

  • One form of government-issued photo ID
  • A credit card, debit card, or bank statement

 

We securely store the documents you submit and use them only for account verification. We automatically delete all documents after 90 days.

Your personal information is stored securely and treated in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Payments Privacy Notice.

After you submit verification documents

  • Verification usually takes 1 business day, but in some cases may take longer.
  • Your account will remain closed until we complete the verification process; during this time, you won’t be able to place any orders.
  • Please do not attempt to create additional accounts during this time. Doing so may result in closure of the new accounts and delay the processing of your appeal.
  • We’ll notify you by email when the account review is complete.

 

1. Enter your name and contact phone number
Please enter your last name.
This must be the email address associated with your issue.
Please enter a valid email address.
2. Upload an image of your government-issued photo ID
 

Examples:

  • Driver's license or other state-issued identification
  • Passport information page or other national identification
  • Permanent residence card or other government-issued photo ID, like a military ID card or a US passport

 

How? Use your phone’s camera or a scanner to create a JPEG or PDF of your photo ID.

3. Upload an image of your credit card, debit card, or bank statement

Important:

  • To protect your information, make sure only the last 4 digits of your card or account number are visible.
  • Do not show other identifying codes, such as the 3- or 4-digit card security code (known as the CVN, CVC, or CVV, it often appears on the back of the card).

  

  • For scanned images or photos: Cover all numbers, except the last 4 digits, with a piece of paper or your finger.
  • For electronic statements: Use editing software to cover all numbers except the last 4 digits. You could also print the document, cover the numbers, and then take a picture of it.

Note: As a security precaution, we will immediately delete any documents where your full account number or card security code is visible.

Make sure your name and photo are clearly visible (if present).
