Applying for a Credit Card with partner banks

How do I know if I am eligible to apply for a credit card issued by our partner banks on Google Pay?

  • If you are eligible, you will see offers by our partner banks to apply for credit cards in the “Money” section of Google Pay. These credit cards are offered by different partner banks, and will have different terms and eligibility criteria.
  • The “Money” section may be found by scrolling to the bottom of the Google Pay home screen (below the “Promotions” section).
  • If there are no offers in the “Money” section, you are not currently eligible for a credit card application. However, you may be eligible for a credit card offer by our partner banks in the future.

Why is my submitted application still pending?

Your submitted application will be processed by the partner bank which is issuing the credit card. Typically, banks will take 1-5 business days to review your application. Please check with the partner bank directly for more details on your credit card application.

Will my credit score be impacted if I apply for credit card?

Like for most credit products, the bank may check your credit bureau information with rating agencies. This may have an impact on your credit score.

Why was my submitted application rejected?

Google does not review your application. The partner bank decides on whether to accept or reject your application based on their eligibility criteria. To learn more about these criteria, please check with our partner banks Axis bank card FAQs.

How long will it take for my credit card to be issued?

Once approved, your credit card will be issued by your partner bank. Typically, banks will take up to 1-5 business days to issue your credit card once your application is approved. Physical (plastic) card delivery may take another 3-7 business days, depending on your delivery area.

What if I did not receive my credit card even when my submitted application is approved?

How does the Auto-Debit feature work?

  • The Auto-Debit feature lets you automatically pay part or all of your bills from a bank account. To enable this feature, please follow the below steps:
    • If shown the Auto-debit consent, tap the consent checkbox and select how will auto-debit work (Minimum Amount Due or Total Amount Due)
      1. If you select “Minimum Amount Due”, the auto-debit amount will be used to pay for the minimum amount due each month as specified by your partner bank. This may not mean that your credit card bill is paid fully.
        • Note: You may be charged a late fee if you don’t pay your entire credit card bill in time
      2. If you select “Total Amount Due”, the auto-debit amount will be used to pay for the total amount due each month as specified by your partner bank.
    • Please ensure you have enough money in your bank account to meet the amount due on your credit card bill.
