Request money from a Google Pay Contact

On Google Pay app, you can request up to ₹2,000 INR at a time from someone. 

1. On your mobile device, open Google Pay app .
2. At the bottom, swipe up.
3. If you want to request money from someone, tap the photo of the contact.
   • You can also search for their name, phone number, account number, or UPI ID.
4. At the bottom, tap Request.
5. Enter the amount and description.
6. Tap Request.

When the other person pays or declines your request, you can get a notification from Google Pay.

Tip: You receive money in the account set as primary on your Google Pay bank account settings.

Uses of UPI limits

To verify the number of transactions and reduce the risk of financial fraud, NPCI has set daily and monthly limits on the amount of money you can send or receive when using Google Pay. These limits can differ for UPI and your bank. For more information, reach out to your bank via www.digisaathi.info. Payment failure scenario

If your payment is unsuccessful because it goes over the UPI limit, you can either:

• Wait until the next day to send money
• Request a smaller amount

Increase the UPI limit

You can send up to ₹100,000 INR in one day across all UPI apps. Your bank has its own limits on how much you can send or receive. For more information, contact your bank.

Transactions are below the UPI limit but can’t transfer money

If your daily transactions are below the UPI limit but you have issues, try a different bank account. If you still can’t make a transaction and you haven’t reached the limit, contact Google Pay support.
