Earn rewards when you refer a friend

You’ll both earn rewards when your friend makes their first payment, and the payment is successfully processed. You can find the full details of this offer in your Offers channel.

Earn rewards with offers

You can find offers for different businesses and payments in the Offers channel. Each offer gives you a different way to earn rewards like scratch cards, cashback, and vouchers. Read the offer details to learn what you need to do to earn rewards!

Earn rewards on the rewards path

The rewards path is a way for you to earn rewards when you make payments using Google Pay. Each week (Mon-Sun), you can move forward one step per unique recipient, and up to 10 steps total. Your step limit resets to 10 every Monday.

How to move forward on the rewards path

Move a step forward when you:

Send money to a friend
Pay a business via QR code, UPI payment request, or online with your Google Pay UPI ID
Pay an external bank account

Note: You won't move forward with other payment types like Spot bookings, buying gold, or recharging your mobile.

Details & restrictions

You can move forward with qualifying payments of ₹150 and above using Google Pay.
You can move forward up to 10 steps per week.
Each week, you can move forward 1 step per recipient, and 10 steps total.
Your steps reset to zero at 11:59 PM on December 31 every year, starting December 31, 2020.

Examples

Example A:

Last week, Aditya used Google Pay to pay 2 separate friends over ₹150 each, to pay another friend ₹100, and to make 2 payments over ₹150 to his favourite local shop.
Aditya moved 1 step forward each for the ₹150+ payments to his friends. However, he did not move a step forward for the ₹100 payment to his third friend, because the amount was too small. He also only moved 1 step forward for the ₹150 to the local shop.
Altogether, Aditya moved 3 steps forward. On his rewards path, he landed on a milestone that unlocked a scratch card earning him ₹75 in rewards!

Example B:

This week, Priya used Google Pay to pay one friend, buy a train ticket, and shop at her local grocery store. Each payment was over ₹150.
Altogether, Priya moved forward 3 steps. On her rewards path, she moved forward a step that unlocked a premium reward which turned out to be a ₹500 voucher at her grocery store!

Example C:

Suraj made 8 different payments and moved 8 steps forward from Mon-Sun. On the following Monday, his step limit resets to 10.

Example D:

Sneha made 10 different payments and moved 10 steps forward from Mon-Wed. She won't be able to move forward again till the following Monday, when her step limit resets to 10.

Scratch cards

New scratch cards are added to your path every week. Once you get them, scratch to see if you’ve earned cashback or vouchers!

Find and redeem your earned rewards in your Rewards channel.

The rewards path is a fast, easy way to earn rewards with your day-to-day payments. The more you pay using Google Pay, the more you earn. Offers are limited time ways for you to earn rewards with specific business and payment types. There are different ways to earn with the same rewards you love.

Why do my friends have different rewards on their path?

Your rewards path was created to deliver personalized rewards for you. Different people will be able to unlock different rewards on their steps.

How many next steps can I view?

You can view up to 20 next steps from your current step.

How many previous steps can I view?

You can view up to 20 previous steps from your current step.

How long does it take to get the offer cashback credited?

It can take up to 1 week for cashback to be credited, depending on UPI and bank processing. However, it usually only takes 30 seconds.

Can I earn more than 1 reward per transaction?

Yes, you can earn more than 1 reward per transaction.

Why can't I see my rewards?

Please make sure you are using the latest version of the app. To find out if you are using the latest version of Google Pay:

Open the Google Play Store app .
Tap Menu My apps & games.
Scroll to see if there is a pending update for Google Pay.
If there is, tap Update.
