Change or reset your UPI PIN

Your UPI PIN is the number you enter whenever you add a new payment account or make a transaction.

You’ll be asked to set a UPI PIN when you first add a bank account. If you already have a UPI PIN for your bank account, you can use the same UPI PIN on Google Pay. You can also change your UPI PIN using Google Pay.

Change your UPI PIN

You can also change your UPI PIN using Google Pay:
  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. At the top right, tap your photo.
  3. Tap Bank account.
  4. Tap the bank account you want to edit.
  5. Tap More More and then Change UPI PIN.
  6. Create a new UPI PIN.
  7. Enter the same UPI PIN again.

Tip: If you enter a wrong UPI PIN more than 3 times, you must reset your PIN or wait 24 hours to make your next transaction. You can't send or receive money during this time.

Reset your UPI PIN

If you forgot your UPI PIN, you can create a new one.
Tip: You'll need your debit card details to reset your UPI PIN.
  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. At the top right, tap your photo and then Bank account.
  3. Tap the bank account you want to edit.
  4. Tap Forgot UPI PIN.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Tip: If you enter a wrong UPI PIN more than 3 times, you must reset your PIN or wait 24 hours to make your next transaction. You can't send or receive money during this time.
