Tip: If you block someone on Google Pay, they’ll also be blocked on some other Google products such as Photos. Find out more about how to block Google users
If someone that you don’t know requests money from you or you don’t want someone to contact you on Google Pay, you can block them if they send requests.
Block a user from the home page
- On your device, open Google Pay .
- Under the “People” section or “Businesses” section, select the contact you want to block.
Tip: You can also search for the contact through the search bar on the home page.
- Tap More and then Block this person or Block.
- To unblock the person, tap Unblock.
Unblock a user
- On your mobile device, open the Google Pay app .
- Use the search bar on top to find the contact that you want to unblock. You can search for them by their name or mobile number.

Tip: You can also search for the contact through your transaction history if you’ve previously sent or received money from them.

Tap on the 3-dot icon on the top-right of the screen.

Tap unblock this person.
Report a user before you make a payment
- On your device, open the Google Pay app .
- Under the “People” section, select the contact you want to report.
- Tap More and then Report user.
- Select the reasons why you want to report the user.
- Tap Report and block user.
