View transaction history

If you still experience a stuck transaction, try these tips:

  • Check your internet connection. Payments require an online connection.
  • Update your Google Pay app. Check the Google Play Store for updates.
  • Confirm you have a valid bank account linked to Google Pay.
  • Your bank may be facing temporary transaction issues. To connect with your bank, find contact details or call DigiSaathi at 14431 or 1800 891 3333.
  • When sending money, confirm if the recipient has a valid bank account linked to their Google Pay.
  • Add an additional UPI ID. In case your primary UPI ID is experiencing issues, your alternate UPI ID can be useful for payments.

If you still experience a stuck transaction, try these tips:

  • Check your internet connection. Payments require an online connection.

  • Confirm you have a valid bank account linked to Google Pay.
  • Check if you entered your UPI PIN incorrectly 3 times. This blocks UPI transactions for 24 hours from the time of the transaction. Wait until 24 hours pass and then reset your PIN.
  • Check if you’ve reached the daily transaction limit.
  • In the Google Pay app, check your transaction history.
  • If you’re unable to find the transaction, please check your bank statement.
  • Your bank may be facing temporary transaction issues. To connect with your bank, find contact details or call DigiSaathi at 14431 or 1800 891 3333.
  • When sending money, confirm if the recipient has a valid bank account linked to their Google Pay.
  • Add an additional UPI ID. In case your primary UPI ID is experiencing issues, your alternate UPI ID can be useful for payments.
  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. Under "Manage your Money," click See transaction history.
  3. Here, you can click on any transaction to see the detailed transaction page.

Troubleshoot to check your previous transaction history

Your transaction history only contains those made through Google Pay and not all UPI or banking transactions. If you can’t view your Google Pay transaction history, do the next steps.

Step 1: Update Google Pay

To check for updates, go to the Play Store or App Store.

Step 2: Check email address for Google Pay

If you registered more than one email address for your Google Pay account, go through the email selection steps again.

  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. Select your preferred language.
  3. Enter your 10 digit phone number.
  4. To accept all in-app permissions, tap Allow.
  5. Enter the Google account registered to your mobile device and tap Continue. Tip: You can also add a new Google account.
  6. To secure your Google Pay app , select Use screen lock or Use Google PIN.
    Tip: Under screen lock, you can choose pattern lock, fingerprint sensor, or passcode.
  7. Add a bank account.

If you used only one email address to register a Google Pay account, wait for 3 to 4 hours then try to check your transaction history again. If you can’t check it, it can be due to poor cellular reception or network coverage.

Check a contact’s transaction history

  1. On your mobile device, open Google Pay .
  2. To find your contacts, swipe up.
  3. To check transactions and conversations, tap the contact.

Merge transaction histories for multiple Google Pay accounts

This feature isn’t available right now. You can share this suggestion through the in-app feedback option.

How to use filters in transaction history

Use filters in transaction history to find a specific set of transactions.

  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. Scroll to find "See transaction history."
  3. Tap See transaction history.
  4. Apply any of the following filters:
    • Status: To find Completed, Failed, or In progress transactions.
    • Payment Method: Choose your payment source.
      • Bank account
      • UPI Lite
    • Date: Select a timeframe.
      • This month
      • Last 30 days
      • Last 90 days
    • Amount: Set a minimum and maximum amount.
    • Payment Type: Filter by cashback, money received, or self-transfers.

Check transaction history for a specific time

When you scroll down, you can find your entire transaction history. However, If you want to find the transaction history for different time periods, you can filter them with "Date" filter.

  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. Scroll to find "See transaction history."
  3. Tap See transaction history.
  4. Select the date.
  5. From the Drop down icon, select the time period.
    • This month
    • Last 30 days
    • Last 90 days
  6. Click Apply.

Tip: Filters for transaction history are only available for this month, 30 and 90 days. There is no seperate filter to find the rest of the transaction history. To access the complete transaction history, scroll through the page.

Get a PDF or e-statement of Google Pay transaction history

To download a PDF or e-statement of your transaction history:

  1. Open the Google Pay app .
  2. Scroll to find "See transaction history."
  3. Tap See transaction history.
  4. At the top right of the search bar, tap More and then Get Statement.
  5. Select the statement period.
  6. To view and save your statement, tap Continue.
  7. To share the statement, tap Share.

Tip: To share details about a particular transaction, at the bottom of the transaction details page, click Share.

Unknown amount reflects in Google Pay transaction history

Since you have an updated version of the Google Pay app, a new feature is added where the amount that reflects in your transaction history is your total expenses minus total amount received for every month.

Delete transaction history

You can't delete your transaction history directly through Google Pay. But, you can delete it with your Google account. When you delete your transaction history, the information isn't completely erased from Google’s records. To meet legal requirements and service needs, Google retains transaction data like purchases, money transfers, and refunds. The other party in the concerned transaction like the merchant or beneficiary can still find the deleted transaction in the “Transaction history” page of their app.

To delete your Google Pay transaction history on Android, follow these steps:

  1. On your mobile device, open the Google Pay app .
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile image.
  3. Tap Settings and then Privacy and security and then Data and personalization.
  4. Tap Google account.
  5. To check your Google Pay transactions, log in to My activity.
  6. To delete a transaction, you can:
    • Tap Delete.
      • Confirm the action.
    • Tap Delete Activity.
      • Delete activity based on frequency:
        • Last hour
        • Last day
        • All time
        • Custom range
  7. To check the changes after deletion:
    1. Sign out of your Google Account.
    2. Sign in to your Google Account again.
    3. On the Google Pay app , check your transaction history.

Tip: It can take up to 12 hours to delete your transaction history on Google Pay.
