Cancel a wrong or incorrect transfer on Google Pay

Google Pay is a medium for transactions between you and the recipients through partner banks that provide the UPI infrastructure. It’s not possible to cancel a UPI transaction after you enter your UPI PIN.

Incorrect transfers to individuals

If you’ve made an incorrect transfer to someone, contact the recipient to request a refund.

Incorrect transfers to a merchant

If you've made an incorrect transfer to a merchant, contact the merchant to request a refund.

Report an individual or merchant transaction issue

Should you fail to get a response from the person or merchant, contact your bank with the UPI reference ID available in the Google Pay app for further assistance.

If your issue persists, raise a complaint with NPCI within 3 days of transaction through their Dispute Redressal Mechanism or call their toll-free number 1800-120-1740.

Report an incorrect transfer to a biller or operator

You can’t cancel a UPI transaction after you enter your UPI PIN. If you’ve made an incorrect recharge or bill payment, contact the operator or biller for further assistance.
