Error when you add or restore a bank account on Google Pay

If you change your SIM or phone, you may get temporary errors on Google Pay.

When you add a form of payment on Google Pay:

    • Make sure you don’t switch from the application.
    • Uninstall any third-party messaging app and set “messaging App” as the default.
    • For prepaid users: Send an SMS to your telecom operator to disable the flash message while you add the bank account.

Operator information to disable flash messages:

    • Airtel: To disable flash messages on Airtel, send an SMS “CAN FLASH” to 199.
    • Jio: Navigate to the My Jio app on your smartphone and uninstall it.
    • VI: To disable flash messages on VI, send an SMS “CAN FLASH” to 144.
    • BSNL: Dial BSNL mobile all India Helpline Number 1503.
    • BSNL sim: Dial 1800-180-1503.
