When you get started with the new Google Pay app, you get an option to let people use search to find you. This makes it easier for people with your phone number or email to find your name and photo across Google services. Also, it lets them use Google Pay to send you money. If this setting is off, you should perform additional steps to receive money.
Turn "Allow people to find you" on
If this setting isn’t turned on, a person isn’t searchable unless you’re already connected to them on Google Pay.
To turn on the “Allow people to find you” setting, the receiver should:
- Open the Google Pay app

Privacy and Security You can search for someone in your contacts with their name, phone number, or email.
Tips:
- If a person is in your device contacts, you can search for them with their name.
- If a person isn’t in your device contacts, you can search for them with their email address or phone number
