Manage your UPI autopay mandates

Tip: Autopay is supported through @okaxis, @okhdfcbank, and @okicici handles. If your UPI ID ends with @oksbi, here’s how you can create an additional UPI ID.

Find your mandate in Google Pay
  1. Open the Google Pay app .
  2. At the top right, click your profile picture.
  3. Select Autopay. You can find the status of the mandates in these three tabs:
    • “Live”: These are approved mandates that aren’t executed yet. You can change or revoke these mandates.
    • “Pending”: These mandates require the user to take an action. The user can:
      • Authorize the mandate.
      • Decline the mandate.
      • Execute the mandate.
    • “Completed”: These are completed mandates, which include:
      • Executed mandates
      • Expired mandates
      • Revoked mandates
Authorize a mandate request from a merchant
  1. Open the Google Pay app .
  2. At the top right, click your profile picture.
  3. Select Autopay.
  4. In the “Pending” tab, select the mandate you want to take action on:
    • Set up autopay
    • Cancel autopay
  5. Enter your UPI PIN.
Revoke or cancel a mandate

To revoke a live mandate:

  1. On your mobile device, open the Google Pay app .
  2. At the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3. Select Autopay.
  4. In the “Live” tab, tap the mandate you want to change.
  5. Select an option:
    • “Pause autopay”
      • You can specify a start and end date.
    • “Cancel autopay”
  6. Enter your UPI PIN.
  7. Check the status in the “Live” tab.

Authorize payment requests from merchants

  • If mandate amount is less than ₹5000 INR: For the first payment, you’ll need to enter your UPI PIN.
  • If mandate amount is more than ₹5000 INR: When the payment is due, you’ll need to enter your UPI PIN.
Tip: If a transaction needs authorization from you, on your app, you’ll receive a notification.

Troubleshoot issues with mandates

Get details on your autopay mandate
  1. Open the Google Pay app .
  2. At the top right, click your profile picture.
  3. Select Autopay.
  4. Select the mandate.
  5. Expand the detailed transaction page. You’ll find details, like:
    • Unique autopay number
    • Start and end date
    • Frequency
    • Debit details

Find the frequency of your mandate debit

To find the frequency, in the “AutoPay” section of the Google Pay app, tap the relevant mandate.
