Get started with UPI AutoPay recurring mandates
You can set up flexible and automatic recurring payments on the Google Pay app with UPI AutoPay.
Learn about UPI AutoPayYou can set up recurring payments when you use any UPI application. You don't have to enter a PIN every time you make a payment.
You can set up periodic payments, such as:
- Mobile bills
- Electricity bills
- EMI payments
- Insurance
- Mutual funds
When you set up a recurring payment, you choose a frequency for funds to be debited from your account, such as:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Yearly
If your recurring payment is less than ₹15,000, you need to enter your UPI PIN to set it up for the first time.
If your recurring payment is more than ₹15,000, you'll need to enter your UPI PIN to approve each payment.
For recurring payments related to insurance, mutual funds and credit card bills, you need to enter your UPI PIN if the amount exceeds ₹1,00,000. You'll be asked to enter your PIN on the day that the payment is due.
Tip: If the payment doesn't go through within five minutes of your AutoPay mandate authentication, you may need to re-enter your UPI PIN.
You'll get a notification 24 hours before any debit from the bank. Tap the notification to view the details, where you can securely pause or cancel the mandate using your UPI PIN.
Tip: You won't get a 24-hour notification for automatic top-ups on your FASTag or NCMC (metro/transit) cards.
