Enter payment info automatically in apps

You can save your credit and debit cards to Google Pay to pay for items later. When you enter info in a new form in an app, your Android device could ask you to save that info.

Note: Some of these steps work only on Android 8.1 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.

Where your payment info is saved

When you make a purchase on your phone, your Android device could ask whether you want Google to save your card info. If you accept, your info will be saved to Google Pay.

If you haven’t used Google Pay before

If you don’t already have a Google Pay account, saving your credit or debit card info makes one for you. Learn about Google Pay.

Change or delete saved info

You can edit or remove card info stored in Google Pay. Learn how to change payment methods.

Turn off requests to save payment info

If you don't want your Android device to save or fill in your payment info for you, you can turn off the prompt.

  1. Open your device’s Settings app Settings app.
  2. Tap System and then Languages & input and then Advanced.
  3. Tap Autofill service.
  4. Tap None.

Change where your info is saved

You can choose which app or service saves your payment info.

  2. Tap System and then Languages & input and then Advanced.
  3. Tap Autofill service.
  4. Choose an option. If you don’t see the option you want, tap Add service.
