Use your TriMet virtual Hop Fastpass in Google Pay.

You can ride on TriMet, C-TRAN buses, MAX light rail trains, WES commuter rail trains, Portland Streetcar, and C-TRAN's Vine Rapid Transit using Google Pay.

Set up a Hop Fastpass card

  1. Using the Hop Fastpass app, create a card.
  2. Add money to your card.
  3. Save the card to Google Pay.

Use your Hop Fastpass in Google Pay

  1. Wake up your phone.
  2. Hold it to the Hop card reader.
  3. Wait until you see a blue checkmark.

You’ll also need to do this when you transfer buses.

Pay for your rides using Google Pay

When you add a credit or debit card and a virtual Hop Fastpass to Google Pay, your Hop card will be charged first. To use your credit or debit card in Google Pay to pay for your rides:

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Pay app Google Pay.
  2. Under Tickets & passes, find your Hop Fastpass.
  3. Tap the image on your Hop card.
  4. Turn off Tap to use.

If you use your Hop Fastpass to pay, you’ll have to keep adding money to your card using the Hop Fastpass app.

Show ticket to a fare inspector

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Pay app Google Pay.
  2. Under Tickets & passes, find your Hop Fastpass.
  3. Tap Show code.
  4. Show your screen to the conductor, when needed.
